2023 Polestar 3 – The new Hot Electric SUV set to Rival the Model Y

Following the monumental success that is the Polestar 2 – it was only natural for Polestar to venture into the world of electric SUV’s. This is exactly what they have done. Introducing the Polestar 3. The mid-sized SUV is set to launch October. Images and a few details have recently been released. Today we unveil the curtain slightly and take a sneak peek at the 3.

1+2 = 3

The Polestar 3 is the Swedish brands 3rd car and follows the same creed as its siblings, all electric drivetrain, strong performance figures (initially promised) and minimal yet elegant design. Popularity of SUV’s is not slowing down anytime soon and the 3 is following this trend. It is set to be the brands first SUV. Similar to how the Polestar 2 made a considerable dent in the electric saloon segment, we predict the 3 will follow suite.

Introducing the brand new Polestar 3 SUV

Looking to take on the likes of the Tesla Model Y, Mercedes EQC and Audi e-tron. Heavyweights of the electric SUV segment and with competition like this the Polestar 3 has its work cut out. However, it is not coming to battle empty handed. The Polestar 3 promises to boast fantastic performance figures. With the 3 based heavily on the foundations the Polestar 2 set out, these ‘promises’ will more than likely be fact. Not much information regarding performance figures has yet been released. However, one detail Polestar have confirmed is estimated range, they state the new model will get up to 372 miles (600kw) of range. At launch the Polestar 3 will be offered in both two and four-wheel drive configurations.

Cool, so when can I see one and how much will one set me back?

Good question, due to launch officially in Autumn 2022. Ordering will be open straight after this. Production will begin at the start of 2023 – we predict we will start to see the 3 on UK roads mid-Q3 next year. As for pricing, no concrete details have been given from Polestar just yet, again we estimate pricing to start from £50,000 mark. Once pricing has been confirmed, lease figures will  surely follow. So, keep your eyes peeled later this year for lease prices.
